Hello world, I’m not exactly sure where to begin but I’m imagining an interview scenario, where an employee starts an interview by saying ‘Tell me about yourself’. I find it easier to introduce myself via talking face-to-face in an interview rather than writing it here. Also, I’m penning this down just like a journal, which means my thoughts would sound incoherent, like I’d be jumping from one topic to the next so to any ‘readers’ out there, I’m sorry for the chaos (which is pretty much my life). Anywho, so if I had to introduce myself, I’d say, I’m Venetia from Malaysia (it kinda rhymes - repeat it and say it fast lol). I’m 32 years old, I studied a degree in Psychology, moved to Poland to study my Masters in Clinical Psychology, and now I live in the United States with my husband. (After that full stop I had to take a pause to think what I should say next - if I were speaking to an interviewer, I’d have to say why I applied for the job but because this isn’t a job interview, I’m gonna imagine what a therapist would ask next in an intake interview. I suppose the next question would be about my family background so..) I have an elder sister who’s 2 years older than me. She’s married and has a 2 year old boy. (If I remember correctly). My mum and dad are still alive, and yes everyone is back home in Malaysia.

My Personality:

Friends describe me as ‘cute, smiley, bubbly, friendly, loud (only close people would agree) I’d say I can be pretty outgoing and I enjoy interacting. Side topic: I used to answer questions in class during my Masters course in Poland; when the others decided to stay silent to questions they just felt ‘lazy’ to answer. I’d volunteer to answer because some part of me felt ‘bad’ for the professor - it’s as if the students aren’t paying attention to what she/he was saying. It’s pretty rude actually. The main reason why being a professor at a university isn’t my ‘dream job’ - dealing with youngsters who are just in college for the degree but not to actually learn?). I describe myself as someone who’s empathetic, reflective, chaotic, quite clumsy, emotional,

Interests: obsessed with dogs, I like boardgames, podcasts (but I hardly play boardgames or listen to podcasts since I left Poland). I like working out (using weights and the stair master but I haven’t been working out as much as I used to since I’ve been in the States.
